What does Tiesto use to make beats?

We have gotten a lot of requests to figure out the studio equipment used by international superstar DJ Tiesto. You may have heard his electronic remix of Samuel Barber's "Adagio For Strings". After much searching, we found an old interview conducted by Tiesto Fan:

Q: Tell us about your studio, what are you running? Is it PC or Mac based?

Tiesto: It's PC now again, I used to work with Logic, but now I'm back to [Steinberg] Cubase. Much more facilities with Cubase than with Logic, Logic is for the Mac.

For the DJ's out there who want to know more about the turntables, we found some info from Pioneer.ch:

Tiesto: The [Pioneer] CDJ-1000 MK2's have never ever let me down and, of course, I can complete more tricks with CD players than with vinyl decks, such as pitching down, reversing and extending the breaks etc.

Q: You are also using DVD decks on tour...

Tiesto: Touring with two Pioneer DVJ-X1's gives me the liberty to control additional parts of the show.
